Solutions Fundraising Event Guide
Who is this guide for?
This guide is intended for use by group
leaders of organizations. It takes you
through the process of raising money for
your organization in a fun and
profitable way.
Why do you want to raise funds?
As a group, you are already very aware
of the challenges of raising funds for
your organization. Let’s be honest,
trying to get cash donations from anyone
in this day and age is hard enough
before you even think about the process
being fun!
However, the rewards and benefits of
fundraising can be huge.
So, why are you trying to get cash?
Maybe it’s to purchase new uniforms or
musical instruments. Maybe it’s to
offset the printing cost of your
yearbook or to raise funds for your
class field trip.
Funds, Fun and Fabulous Food
Someone’s offering to help you with this
huge task. You must be asking yourself,
what’s the catch?
There is no catch. Let us tell you why.
Fay’s Restaurant believes in
service---to our guests, between our
team members and to the community. From
day one we have been actively involved
in the community with organizations such
as: The American Cancer Society,
Schwartz Center for Children, and many
educational organizations in the greater
New Bedford area----just to name a few
However, you can’t have a restaurant
without guests. Our guests are you,
people with whom we share our common
community and your continued patronage
is important to us.
How can we help you?
Simply host an evening of fun and
fabulous food for your organization at
Fay’s on a Tuesday or Wednesday
evening.*
Proceeds are accumulated from people
within your organization, community,
school, etc. by presenting a flyer
promoting the event.
We will then donate 20% of the sales
(food only, alcohol excluded by law)
taken in between 4:00 p.m.-8:00 p.m.
during your event.
Your organization will receive a check
within two weeks to use towards your
efforts.
* Some exceptions apply – see restaurant
manager
Tips and Guidelines for a successful
event
|
1. |
Decide on potential dates. |
|
2. |
Submit a request form to Fay’s
Restaurant in person three weeks
in advance of your chosen date
(download form below). |
|
3. |
Fay’s will contact you to inform
you of whether or not the date
has been accepted. |
|
4. |
Once your date has been
accepted, you need to inform
your group as soon as possible
so they can save the date. |
|
5. |
Produce flyers to hand out to
your group (download flyer
template from our website
below). All attendees in support
of your group must bring this
flyer with them and present it
at the time they place their
order so that their purchase may
qualify. |
|
6. |
Remind everyone about the event
all the time (e.g. in a
newsletter or over the PA system
in a school). |
|
7. |
Be sure to distribute the flyers
at least two weeks prior to the
event. Have plenty of flyers on
hand as the more you distribute,
the more you will receive! |
|
8. |
Reconfirm one week prior to the
event with the manager at Fay’s. |
|
9. |
Come, sit back, relax, and enjoy
some fabulous food while we work
hard at making you some money.
